The Fulford Show in York was a splendid event for this August bank holiday, going off without a hitch in beautiful weather the entertaining event included raffles, competitions for children and adult – the highlight had to be the tug of war between mothers and fathers, of course the mothers won – with a little help from lots of willing children who know which said their bread is buttered on. The fire brigade were also there demonstrating fire safety techniques, such as safely dealing with a chip pan fire, and allowing budding fire fighters to climb aboard their fire engine.
